Are your kids begging to swim even though the weather outside is most definitely not swimming weather? These indoor New England water parks are close enough to Boston to make a fantastic day trip, or you can do an overnight and make a stay-cation out of it!

Great Wolf Lodge

150 Great Wolf Drive, Fitchburg MA

There’s something for everyone, including tons of kid-friendly activities, a range of dining options, interactive games, and more, all under one roof!

Water Park of New England

50 Ferncroft Road, Danvers, MA

Check out Water Park of New England’s whopping 65,000 square feet of thrills and spills with giant water slides and water adventures! At Water Park of New England, the fun isn’t just for the kids. A trip to the palm grotto indoor/outdoor spa is your passport to paradise. Featuring giant hot tubs, a swim-through passage, and more, adults will have just as much fun as the kids.

Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod

1225 Iyannough Road, Hyannis, MA

The former Cape Codder Resort is now the family-friendly Margaritaville Resort, which includes an indoor water park! This spot offers daily water park passes whether you are a guest at the resort or not (though resort guests get 50% off admission to the park). There are twisting water slides, a lazy river, and a dedicated children’s area for the little ones.

John Carver Inn Pilgrim Cove Pool

25 Summer Street, Plymouth, MA

The Pilgrim Cove features lap lanes and a life-size replica of the Mayflower. A giant, 80-foot water slide winds through the historic ship and passes by a refreshing waterfall. The large, relaxing island whirlpool is set in a replica of Plymouth Rock and is accessible by a bridge over the splashing waterfalls below.

Kahuna Laguna Water Park

2251 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH

Bring the family to New Hampshire’s largest indoor water park. Located in the North Conway Red Jacket Mountain View Resort, this water park includes water slides, a wave pool, a 25-person hot tub, and a play area for the little ones. Daily passes are available.

Hampton Inn and Suites North Conway Hotel and Water Park

1788 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH

Escape to the White Mountains and enjoy a getaway at this small but fun family-friendly water park in the Hampton Inn. There are two large slides plus a kiddie area with two small slides, “Fernando the frog” and a watering mushroom.

Pump House Indoor Water Park

830 Jay Peak Road, Jay Peak, VT

Enjoy waterslides, kids’ pools, and a lazy river at this fun resort! If you are feeling adventurous, try the tall climbing wall and basketball area. The deepwater activity pool is fun for all ages! For the bravest souls, try La Chute — a 65-foot, 45-mile-an-hour, 6-second-long water slide!

Deanna Greenstein

Deanna is a mom of five (yes, five) children, who lives in Brockton with her small circus of kids, her husband, their dog Penny, and a few cats. Her life is loud, energetic, mostly fun, often gross (did she mention four of those kids are boys?), and she wouldn't have it any other way.

In between carting kids to school, baseball, gymnastics, guitar, dance, track and field and every other kid activity known to mankind, she works as a school bus driver for the city of Brockton, and is the Director of Religious Education at the Unity Church of North Easton, a Unitarian Universalist congregation. Deanna also holds degrees in Elementary Physical Education and Dance Education, which she plans to put back into use one day.

At parties, Deanna can often be found hanging out with family pets. She follows her children around with a camera like the paparazzi, is pretty sure that 97% of her blood stream is made of coffee, and her laundry is never done.
